Review:
Packaging: To put it plainly, the packaging for this CD is very functional.
Nice picture on the front cover, track list with track times. Some liner notes
in Japanese. Everything a CD should have, but nothing out of the ordinary. Then again,
no one should be getting this CD for the packaging anyway.
Packaging Rating: C
Music: Instead of telling you which tracks on this CD are good, I'll tell
you which ones are bad. None of them. The arrangement of the songs from Final
Fantasy IV and their performance by the Irish musicians are flawless. The
music itself is calm and easy going; no really hectic tracks. It sounds like Irish
folk music and is very amiable to the general listener. It's perfect for a sunday drive
or napping on the couch. If you really dislike folk-type music, best you look elsewhere
but everyone else should enjoy this CD.
Music Rating: A+
CD/Track Length: The songs on this CD are all between 3 and 4 minutes long,
and the whole CD weighs in at around 52 minutes. The tracks are just the right
length, not too short, and not so long that you feel tempted to switch to the next
song. It would be nice if the whole CD was longer, but it doesn't seem too short,
so all in all, it's on the level.
Length Rating: B-
Other Misc: Anyone looking for some nice, calm, background music from
a video game, this is it. Also, anyone who liked Final Fantasy IV's music
when playing through should definitely look into this CD.
Final Rating (not an average): A
